I always tell people that I definitely have a love/hate relationship with WordPress.
First, let’s talk about why we love it.
Although it was built as a blogging platform, WordPress actually makes a good CMS.
I’ve seen too many hosting clients build a site that they have no way of editing. Huge mistake. You don’t want to have to run back to your developer every time you want a simple change made.
And search engines tend to reward sites that are frequently updated, so WordPress is a great solution when you want to post or write frequently, and don’t want to have to learn HTML.
Also, when you want to do something special, like display a photo gallery or a directory of users, you can almost always find a WP plugin that will allow your WordPress install to do exactly what you want.
